Comic Potential at Racine Theatre Guild

The Racine Theatre Guild opens its fall season (#74) with a quirky, imaginative comedy that, despite taking place in the future, is at its heart a good old-fashioned love story. "Comic Potential," by Alan Ayckbourn, runs weekends from September 9 to 25 at the Guild's playhouse, 2519 Northwestern Avenue (Highway 38) in Racine.

Performances of "Comic Potential" are sponsored by Northwestern Medical Center and run from September 9 to 25. Each weekend there are shows at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. There are additional performances at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 17; at 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 18; at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 22; and at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 24.

The adult ticket price is $17 for the 7:30 p.m. shows, $13 on Thursday night, and $15 at all other times. Discounts are available for seniors, students, groups and season subscribers. Still available for purchase are flex passes and five-play season ticket packages, priced as low as $50. Box office hours are 12 to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 90 minutes prior to curtain through intermission at performances. For further information and reservations, call 262-633-4218 or purchase tickets on-line at www.racinetheatre.org.
