This two day workshop taught is a comprehensive introduction to polymer for working artists in all media, who want to expand their options.

Learn more about the basic qualities of the polymer material and how you can enhance your own creative development. Polymer can be 2-D or 3-D, sculptural or surface, translucent or opaque, thin as paper or solidly volumetric (with no cracking or explosions in the kiln) colorful, pearlescent, textured, painted, matte, glossy, takes transfers, lightweight and durable, and allowing you to follow your every creative desire.



Polymer's material properties: Everything you didn't realize you needed to know about polymers and your aesthetic!

Polymer's technical parameters: Hands-on down and dirty experimentation, everything encouraged, no wrong answers!

Polymer's conceptual applications: Think infinite, it's your art, there are no limits, just new ideas!

Tory Hughes has been working with polymer and mixed media for 40 years. Her jewelry is in major museums all over the world.
