New Product Development Program

Gateway Technical College will host a panel session focused on providing a forum to share different perspectives on new product development and showcase regional resources available to area firms. The event will begin with networking at 8 a.m., with programming set for 8:30 a.m. to to 10:30 a.m., Jan. 10 at the college’s Center for Advanced Technology, 2320 Renaissance Blvd., Sturtevant.

The event will feature such resources as Gateway’s CATI Business Services, Rock Valley College’s EIGERlab, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Wisconsin Innovation Service Corporation, as well as providing other networking opportunities. Panelists consist of leaders from Snap-on Incorporated, Modine and LMI Packaging Solutions.

Business leaders in firms interested in enhancing their product development and innovation efforts are encouraged to attend.

“The primary targets of this event are small- to medium-sized firms with limited research and development resources,” says Kate Walker, CATI Business Services director. “We believe the information presented at this event will help these companies kick start their product development efforts and grow their companies.”

CATI Business Services assists existing companies and emerging entrepreneurs with commercialization and new product development and resources.

Panelists will be asked to share their perspectives on a number of topics, including their company’s product development process, managing a new product development process with limited resources and working with external partners. Mike Dalton, managing director and chief growth coach of Guided Innovation, will facilitate the panel.
