Fight At North Beach Monday Night Began After Trip to the Store

A 21-year-old Racine woman is charged with disorderly conduct after police say she got into a fight over another party's trip to the store

RACINE -- A 21-year-old female is facing a charge of disorderly conduct after police say she caused a disturbance at North Beach on Monday.

Maryetta M. Titley, 21, Racine, is being held in the Racine County Jail on a $200 cash bond and could face up to 90 days in jail if she is convicted.

According to her criminal complaint, police responded to the 100 Kewaunee Street area of North Beach just after 6:30 p.m. Monday on a report of a fight.

When police arrived, Titley had confronted another person about taking a cousin to the store instead of staying at the beach with her, police said.

When that person returned to the beach from the store, Titley reportedly approached their car, began pulling the person front the car and punching her when she got out of the car to defend herself, police said.

Officers reported that the loud and disruptive behavior from the fight caused a disturbance at the beach.
