Five Pets Lost In Racine County House Fire: Sheriff's Office

Five pets were lost in the house fire on Friday, the Sheriff's Office said on Saturday. The home was fully engulfed and a complete loss.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — Five pets were lost in a house fire on 21000 Ratzka Lane in the Town of Norway on Friday afternoon when the homeowners were not home, according to the Racine County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies saw heavy smoke coming from the house when they arrived, and flames were visible in one corner. The home soon became fully engulfed in flames, and it was a complete loss, according to the Office's news release.

Three dogs and two cats were lost in the fire, according to the Sheriff's Office. Several area fire departments extinguished the fire, the news release said, and the cause is still under investigation
