Guns, Drugs, Young Children Found at Drug House Near School

A man operating a drug house in the area of Jefferson Lighthouse School has been arrested after an investigation, authorities in Racine say.

RACINE, WI — A man operating a drug house in the area of Jefferson Lighthouse School - Racine's top school - has been arrested after an investigation, authorities in Racine say.

On Tuesday, Dec. 5, at about 8 a.m., agents from the Racine County Metro Drug Unit, Drug Enforcement
Administration and K-9 Deputy conducted a search warrant in the 1800 block of W. 6th St. in the vicinity of Jefferson Lighthouse School on Racine's near west side.

According to Sheriff's officials, investigators learned that the suspect at this residence, Ricky D. Williams was involved in the sale of pills classified as schedule II narcotics. Schedule II narcotics are defined as substances that have a high potential for abuse. Over the course of a four-month investigation, several controlled buys were conducted by undercover agents posing as clients.

Investigators ultimately determined that Williams was selling the medications that were prescribed to
him. Several empty pill bottles, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, two digital scales, a loaded handgun, a loaded short barrel shotgun, ammunition, quest card, and a cell phone were all found in the home during the property search.

Sheriff's officials also said there were three young children residing in the residence. The Racine County Human Services Department was contacted and responded to the residence under the drug endangered children protocol.

Williams was transported to the Racine County Jail and faces the following charges: six counts of Deliver of schedule II narcotics Within 1,000 feet of a school, keeper of a drug trafficking place while armed, possession of a short barrel shotgun, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of THC.
