LIAR LIAR!

It should prove to be a watershed year for residents and businesses in the City of Racine – as there are 4 taxing authorities whose budgets almost always increase! First – there is The City of Racine – where the amount is NEVER enough! They will raise taxes and fees as high as the law allows. Being successful with an unlimited budget is so easy that any common failure, like John and Tom can do it – the key to success is to learn how to make less go farther – and controlling costs. IF the Racine Common Council had any sense – they would eliminate the Mayor’s position, fire Tom Friedel, and hire a successful, competent City Administrator.

After Gateway President Bryan Albrecht lost out on his $49M referendum, he chose to ignore the taxpayers and borrowed tens of millions of $$$ without taxpayer authority and give himself a great big raise. NICE. The bill is in the mail.

RUSD always raises their levy – year in and year out. It pays for a great big office building full of $100,000+ gold plated boat anchors warming seats and pulling down $20,000 – $40,000+ tax-free compensation packages to make up for the low $100,000+ wages.

Finally, there is the County of Racine. Taxpayers should be eagerly awaiting the announcement from County Executive Jim Ladwig detailing the amount of profits made from Reefpoint Marina and how that money will be spent – perhaps more Sheriff’s Deputies or County Employees? He could even REDUCE the mil rate – due to all the profits made from the Boaters! OR will taxpayers find out that they are now not only operating a Marina – but subsidizing it with County Taxpayer funded welfare for Racine’s Boaters?
