Man Arrested After Driving 100 MPH Through Mt. Pleasant, Saying He Shot at Someone

Mount Pleasant police arrested a Missouri man for driving more than 100 miles per hour and telling police he may have shot at another person

MOUNT PLEASANT, WI — Mount Pleasant police arrested a Missouri man for driving more than 100 miles per hour and telling police he may have shot at another person.

On Monday at 1:45 am a Mount Pleasant Police Department officer observed a red Toyota Corolla 4-dr with a Texas registration plate heading south in the 2400 block of Racine Street in excess of 100 mph.

The officer caught up to the vehicle which stopped on Highway 32 near Larson Street. The driver was identified as 18 year old Z’Core Hester-Henderson from Missouri.

Police say that inside the car was a pistol along with several spent shell casings. Hester-Henderson was reportedly acting very strangely and said he had just shot at someone.

He would not disclose where the shooting took place or any other details about the situation.

At this time Mount Pleasant police say they are unaware of any shooting victims or a crime scene.

Hester-Henderson was detained at the Racine County Jail on a charge of Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Unreasonable and Imprudent Speed.

Police say the investigation is still pending.
