Man Arrested After Tossing Bag Of MDMA During Pursuit: Sheriff

Racine County Sheriff's deputies used spike strips on a car on Interstate 41 near County Highway K around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, RCSO said.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — The pursuit of an SUV on Interstate 41 in Racine early Sunday morning ended in spike strips and the arrest of a Milwaukee man in connection with possession of MDMA, the Racine County Sheriff's Office announced Monday.

A Sheriff's deputy spotted the SUV deviating from its lane as it was driving south on I-41 near State Highway 20 around 12:30 a.m., so the deputy tried to pull the car over but it did not stop, according to the RCSO news release. During the pursuit the SUV got off the highway at STH 20 and tossed a bag out of the window before getting back on the highway to go north, the news release said.

Eventually, deputies used a spike strip on the vehicle near County Highway K, deflating all four of its tires, causing the car to pull over, the sheriff's office said. Police arrested the suspected driver.
