Man Fled Police, Flipped Car, Landed in Front Yard Of House
A man who fled police in Racine flipped his car several times, ran from cops and hid in a bedroom after talking his way into a house.

RACINE, WI — The driver of a vehicle that fled police on Racine's north side has been identified after he flipped his vehicle several times and landed in someone's front yard.
On May 29, Racine police attempted to initiate a traffic stop near Geneva and Albert Streets for a vehicle driven by Demond Seay.
According to Seay's criminal complaint, Seay looked right at the police officer just as he activated his squad lights and sirens.

Police say Seay pulled the vehicle toward the side of the road as though he was going to stop, but instead continued driving, reaching 50 miles per hour and blowing stop signs along the way.
The criminal complaint stated Seay negotiated several times before slowing down near Yout and Erie Streets, where his passenger bailed from the car and fled on foot. Seay then sped up, reaching 70 miles per hour on Erie Street.

Police say Seay zipped up Erie Street, passing Goold, Augusta and Melvin Streets before losing control of his vehicle.
Seay's vehicle left the road, became airborne, flipped "several times" before taking down a tree and coming to rest in the yard of a home on the 3000 block of Erie St., police said.
According to the criminal complaint, the officer assumed Seay was trapped in the vehicle, only to find out that the car was empty and that he had fled on foot.
According to the complaint, Seay had been let into a different house on the 3000 block of Erie St. after he told concerned residents that he was hurt in a car accident.
According to the complaint, Seay was found in a back bedroom, scraped up and sweaty.
He has been charged with fleeing and officer and obstruction.
