Man Rescued From Burning Vehicle Has Died: Report
Police say that the man's Honda Civic came to rest in the southwest ditch where it started on fire.

MOUNT PLEASANT, WI -- Police say that a 31-year-old Mt. Pleasant man's life who was pulled from a burning vehicle after a two-vehicle crash early Saturday in Racine County has died as a result of his injuries.
The man was identified by Mount Pleasant police as 31-year-old Richard Keller of Mount Pleasant. Authorities said he died on Nov. 13 from injuries he sustained in the crash.
At about 7 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, police and fire responded to the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway V on a report of a two-vehicle accident in which there were multiple reported injuries and a car on fire.

When officers arrived, they learned that Keller was driving his Honda Civic west on Highway 20 when a 34-year-old Racine woman driving a Mitsubishi Outlander driving south on Highway V entered the intersection and struck the Outlander.
Police say the Civic came to rest in the southwest ditch where it started on fire. Several good Samaritans pulled Keller, who was unconscious, out of the burning car prior to officer arrival.
Police say Keller was transported to Froedert Hospital initially in critical condition. The driver of the Mitsubishi was transported to Ascension Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The Wisconsin State Patrol reconstruction team assisted in the reconstruction of the accident. Highway 20 was closed for approximately four hours.
