Mason hugged his children and kissed his wife, Municipal Judge Rebecca Mason, at the campaign's election-night gathering at the Branch coffee shop in Uptown.

"When we think about us have a community where people want to raise their families, that's for Racine and that's what this campaign is all about. It's not about one person that might be mayor, it's about what kind of changes we want to see in our community, what kind of future we want," Mason said Tuesday night. "The same kind of future that we looked forward to when we were kids - that's the same kind of future I want for our kids and everyone else's kids. That's what this campaign is about and that's what this fight is about."
