Racine is home to the 2018 Memorial Day Parade and special observances. Here is your guide to timing and locations.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — Memorial Day is Monday, May 28. For some, Memorial Day is an extra day off of work filled with family gatherings, an outdoor celebration or a chance to get that garden or landscaping work done.
But for all of us, Memorial Day is exactly that, a day set aside to honor the memories of friends, family and loved ones who lost their lives serving our country in the armed forces
Memorial Day Parade

A Memorial Day Parade and observance hosted by the City of Racine will take place in West Racine on Monday, May 28.
The parade will pass along West Boulevard beginning at 10 a.m. A Memorial Day observance will be held at 11 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery.

The keynote speaker will be Sister Linda "Sarge" McClenahan, a Vietnam veteran, Dominican sister and counselor at the Hopes Center of Racine.
Music will be provided by the Belle City Brassworks.
Memorial Day Ceremony
Veterans, their families, and the public are invited to attend the 2018 Memorial Day ceremony at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Ceremony, 21731 Spring St. in Union Grove. This year, those who served and died in the U.S. military during World War I will be honored.
In addition to the ceremony at Union Grove, the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs will host Memorial Day ceremonies at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Center in Union Grove at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, and at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 28.
