Mt. Pleasant Man Accused Of Possessing 325 THC Cartridges: Police

Police said in a criminal complaint the cartridges were shipped into Wisconsin from California so a Mt. Pleasant man could distribute them.

MOUNT PLEASANT, WI — A Mount Pleasant man has been accused of shipping 325 one-gram THC vape cartridges into Racine County from California with the intent of distributing them, according to a criminal complaint.

Matthew N. Spiegelhoff, 19, was charged in Racine County Court Tuesday with possession with intent to deliver THC greater than 200 grams and less than 1000 grams, online court records show.

Spiegelhoff organized the shipping of the THC vape cartridges to an informant's residence in Racine where he later picked them up, a Racine County Sheriff's agent said in the criminal complaint

Agents set up surveillance before Spiegelhoff came to pick up the THC cartridges and had the confidential informant purchase 10 of the cartridges with $200, the complaint said. When Spiegelhoff picked up the cartridges and left the residence, police arrested him, according to the criminal complaint.

The Sheriff's agent said in the complaint the cartridges were bagged into different amounts to drop off to clients. They were Muda Meds brand cartridges, according to the complaint.

If convicted, Spiegelhoff faces a fine of up to $10,000 and up to six years of imprisonment.

Spiegelhoff is also facing four charges of felony bail jumping in connection with the possession of THC charge, online records show.
