New Aurora Clinic Approved In Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, WI -- Village officials in Mount Pleasant unanimously approved plans for Advocate Aurora Health to build a 22,500-square-foot primary care and urgent care clinic at Spring Street and Sunnyslope Drive.
The Mount Pleasant Village Board voted in favor of the proposal on Monday, January 14. Construction is likely to begin this spring.
“This clinic supports our overall plan for expanded services and access to primary care throughout this growing region,” Lisa Just, president of Advocate Aurora Health’s Racine Kenosha Lake Patient Service Area, said in a statement to Patch.

The clinic will include 26 exam rooms, four urgent care rooms and two procedure rooms. In addition to primary and urgent care, the new site will offer imaging, blood draw and laboratory services. Space also has been allocated for a future pharmacy.
The clinic is estimated to create 30 jobs when it becomes fully operational. The new positions will include seven primary care and urgent care physicians and a range of nurses, medical assistants, patient service representatives, X-ray technologists and other team members.

Mount Pleasant Village President Dave DeGroot expressed enthusiasm for the project.“We are pleased by the commitment that Advocate Aurora is making in our community to meet the area’s growing health care needs,” DeGroot said.
