Taking us back to where it all began in 1922, Great Grandpa Alphonse is putting the finishing touches on the world famous Soady Deer Camp when wild-eyed James Negamanee from Menominee bursts through the door, fleeing a black bear. Together, they set in motion the time-honored Soady Deer Camp traditions, including the legend of the Great Soady Ridge Buck and the secret ingredient for making the perfect pasty.
Plenty of Up North humor plus a little reflection on what makes a place a home.
