Packer Backer Beware: Construction on Roads to Lambeau Field

Construction is happening on most major roads in Northeast Wisconsin.

Drivers heading to Lambeau Field to watch the Green Bay Packers take on the Arizona Cardinals on Fri., Aug. 19 should probably get an early start.

With construction part of almost every major road in Northeast Wisconsin, drivers could face delays and/or detours even though the state Department of Transportation says work will end five hours before game time and not resume until five hours after game time.

US 41

Winnebago County - a majority of 16 miles of highway, from WIS 26 to Breezewood Lane, has restricted shoulders and 11-foot travel lanes. Any minor incident could lead to long travel delays because of the width restrictions on northbound and southbound lanes.

Brown County - drivers will encounter 11-foot travel lanes and reduced shoulders in multiple locations along a 10-mile segment of highway.

WIS 29

Brown County - motorists traveling on WIS 29 will have to drive on 11-foot traffic lanes with reduced shoulders on five miles of highway between County FF to just east of US 41. These restrictions affect both eastbound and westbound traffic lanes. WIS 29 east of US 41 is closed at the intersection of Shawano Avenue and Taylor Street.

WIS 172

Brown County - WIS 172 is closed from the WIS 54/172 intersection to one mile west of the WIS 172/County GE intersection. Eastbound WIS 172 traffic will be detoured from the intersection on WIS 54 eastbound to County GE, southbound to WIS 172, and then eastbound.
