On Tuesday, Nov. 8, voters in Mount Pleasant went to the polls to decide a number of contested races. Here are the numbers:

MOUNT PLEASANT -- On Tuesday, Nov. 8, voters in Mount Pleasant went to the polls to decide a number of contested races, including President of the United States, U.S. Senator, 1st District Congress and District Attorney.

A number of other races were on the ballot, but faced primarily write-in candidates.
For the contested races, however, voters in Mount Pleasant came out strong for conservative/Republican candidates in each race.
