Police Identify Woman Who Was Found Dead Thursday

Veronica M. Estes, 35, Racine, was found dead early Thursday morning. Two men have been charged with hiding a corpse.

RACINE, WI — Police in Racine have identified the woman who was found deceased early Thursday.

According to a Journal Times report, Veronica M. Estes, 35, Racine, was found dead on the 1000 block of N. Memorial Drive. Police are calling her death suspicious.

Racine police say they've arrested two men - Hurdis Burns and Marco Verdiguel-Huarota - in connection with the crime. Burns, of the 1000 block of N. Memorial Drive, has been charged with felony hiding a corpse. Verdiguel-Huarota of the 1600 block of Flett Ave. has also been charged with felony hiding a corpse.

Both are currently being held in the Racine County jail.

Authorities in Racine are continuing to investigate this crime and are encouraging people with any information related to Estes death to call the Racine Police Department's Investigations Unit at (262) 635-7756.
