Police Officer Hung On To Car As Suspect Fled Police: Report
The fleeing suspect quickly returned to his vehicle and took off again, dragging the officer a short distance, police said.

MOUNT PLEASANT, WI — A 31-year-old Racine man has been arrested and faces multiple felony charges after police say he fled from a traffic stop before dragging an officer who hung onto his fleeing car.
On Sunday, May 13 just after 11:30 p.m., Mount Pleasant Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at the North Frontage road and Stuart Road, only to have the driver, identified as Lacrelle Jerome Clay, flee the traffic stop.
According to Mount Pleasant police, the officer who responded to the traffic stop chased the suspect for a short distance. The driver then stopped in the Knights Inn's parking lot and fled from police on foot.

Police told Mount Pleasant Patch that the officer next exited his squad and deployed his K9 officer. The fleeing driver quickly returned to his vehicle and took off again dragging the officer a short distance. The driver then stopped around the next corner and fled. The driver was located hiding in a back seat of a vehicle nearby and subsequently arrested.
The driver of the vehicle were taken to Racine County jail on suspicion of the following charges: Knowingly fleeing and elude, Second Degree Recklessly Endanger Safety, Possession of Marijuana, Resisting an Officer and Multiple traffic citations.

Clay also had an Active Felony warrant for Intimidation through the Racine County Sheriff Office.
