Thompson will talk about how the Young Aviators Program uses
aviation as a hook to engage youth in STEM subjects, why STEM education is at a
critical point in the U.S. and how the young women in the program have
performed.

A Racine original, Young Aviators was started by several local
pilots.  It puts 14 to 18-year old teens
in the pilot seat through daily simulator and aircraft training.  All training is done in the EAA Chapter located
at Batten International Airport.
