Racine Accepting Resumes for Municipal Judge

The appointee will serve until a special election is held on April 7, 2020.

RACINE, WI -- Following the resignation of Municipal Judge Rebecca Mason for personal reasons the City of Racine is now accepting resumes through March 1 for the temporary appointment of a new Municipal Judge.

The candidate selected will serve as Municipal Judge for the remainder of the current four year term until a special election on April 7, 2020 is held.

According to city officials, the position requires the candidate to live in Racine, and to have a license to practice law in Wisconsin.

he appointee will be required to attend the Municipal Judge Orientation Institute May 7-10, 2019. Annual salary is $60,000 plus City benefits. Qualified applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and submit answers for pre-interview questions to the City of Racine, Human Resources Department.

Applicants must submit materials and answers to questions via the online portal which can be found athttp://www.cityofracine.org/jobs.
