Racine Boy Scouts Hospitalized After Crash on Freeway

Reports say 6 of the 12 occupants were hospitalized in the crash involving two vehicles that both rolled off the road.

Two vehicles carrying Boy Scouts collided Saturday on Wisconsin 29 in Shawano County, sending 6 to the hospital with injuries.


According to a report by the Journal Sentinel, one was taken by helicopter to HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay due to a severe head injury, Bonduel Police Chief Todd Chaney said.


The Boy Scouts were from Racine and were traveling eastbound on Wisconsin 29 in two separate vehicles.

The second vehicle smashed into the first and both rolled off the road, the Journal Sentinel has reported.


None of the 12 passengers were ejected from the vehicles, but six were taken to hospitals.
