Racine County Rep. Thomas Weatherston To Retire

RACINE COUNTY, WI — Republican lawmaker Tom Weatherston has announced that he is retiring at the end of the legislative session.

Weatherston (R-Caledonia) previously served on the Caledonia board of trustees. In November 2012, Weatherston was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly as a Republican.

“I would like to thank my friend and colleague for his service to the Wisconsin State Assembly. It has been a privilege working with him and advancing our shared priorities for Racine County and the state," speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) said in a prepared statement early Tuesday. "As an Air Force veteran, he has been a strong advocate for Wisconsin veterans throughout his three terms in office. I’m also grateful for his work to bring more career opportunities to our state and Racine County."

He represented Wisconsin's 62nd assembly district which served largely rural Racine County.
