Racine Lutheran Class of 2013 Achievements

Racine Lutheran High School recognizes the achievements of its Class of 2013, with David Kueny and Duncan Lloyd as co-valedictorians and Savannah Larsen as salutatorian.

Racine Lutheran High School recognizes the achievements of its Class of 2013, with David Kueny and Duncan Lloyd as co-valedictorians and Savannah Larsen as salutatorian. All three students attained grade point averages (GPAs) exceeding 4.0.

David Kueny is a National Merit Scholarship finalist. He joins an elite group of academically talented students competing for $32 million in National Merit Scholarships.

Nearly half of the graduates achieved High Honors, with GPAs of 3.5 or above. These seniors were also members of the National Honor Society, which recognizes students for scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Twenty percent were RLHS Ambassadors, employing traits of leadership, character, and service within the school and the community.

The top 10% of the graduating class had an average ACT score of 30, and for all seniors accepted to four-year universities, the average ACT score was 24. Historically, academic performance has made Racine Lutheran students highly attractive to colleges; this year’s graduates were offered scholarships and grants totaling more than $2.4 million, from 35 different colleges and universities. Academic and career goals for 95% of this year’s graduates included college, technical school, or the military.

“Racine Lutheran focuses on high achievement, with challenging academics that prepare students for the future,” notes Principal David Burgess. “In addition, students become high achievers in athletics and fine arts, making them exceptionally well rounded. Christian teaching and a focus on community service also make them well grounded. Congratulations to these graduates and their proud families.”
