A 35-year-old Racine man admitted to smoking pot and taking medication before flipping his vehicle on I-94 - with 3 children passengers.

MILWAUKEE COUNTY -- A 35-year-old Racine man and his three children passengers are safe after an apparent OWI accident caused his vehicle to slam into a freeway wall and land on its side.
Milwaukee County sheriff's deputies were called to the scene of a two-car accident on I-94 southbound at College Ave. just after 3 a.m. Saturday.
Deputies made contact with Kyle C. Rannow, age 35, of Racine, who told deputies that another vehicle had cut him off, causing him to strike that vehicle, which hit the wall and landed on its side.

Rannow admitted to smoking marijuana and taking pain medication before driving. Of the four passengers in his vehicle, there were three children ages two month, four, and eight. None of the passengers were injured. Rannow was transported to the hospital for head and body pain, and arrested for DUI-3rd offense.
Sheriff's officials say the driver of the vehicle that Rannow struck indicated Rannow drifted into his lane and hit him, causing him to hit the wall. He and his three passengers were transported to the hospital for minor injuries and released.
