Racine to Host Hot Bike Power Tour Aug. 28

The HOT BIKE Power Tour™ is set to make its grand finale stop Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Racine's lakefront. The action will be at the Fifth Street boat ramp parking lot, 3 Fifth St., and in Pershing Park. 

The tour starts in Little Rock, Ark., on Aug. 24 and travels to Jackson, Tenn., Bowling Green, Ky., and Anderson, Ind., before arriving in Racine. About 200 motorcycle enthusiasts have registered for the entire five days.

In Racine, the HOT BIKE magazine manufacturer's midway opens at 1 p.m. Riders are expected to arrive at Pershing Park throughout the afternoon. They will enter Racine County on Green Bay Road (Highway 31) and head to the lakefront via Durand Avenue (Highway 11), Wisconsin Avenue and Main Street. Access to Pershing Park and Pershing Drive will be limited only to tour participants.

Everyone is invited to see the motorcycles and displays free. The Test and Tune Motorcycle Dyno, ABATE burnout pit and Reaction Racing are among the planned activities for tour participants. Live music and entertainment are planned through the evening. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

The tour wraps up Thursday morning with an awards presentation. Many riders will head to Milwaukee for the opening of the Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary Celebration.

The HOT BIKE magazine Power Tour is presented by GEICO Motorcycle and co-presented by Official Oil AMSOIL. Real Racine is the local presenter.
