Get Lei'd 5K Run/Walk - Racine, WI

The 2nd Annual running of the Get Lei'd 5K Run/Walk in Racine will take place from the Beachfront Oasis at Racine's North Beach, 100 Kewaunee St. As runners cross the finish line, they get an Hawaiian Lei, beach towel, and a finisher medal. So come out and enjoy a beautiful day along the shores of Lake Michigan! Aloha!! Supports Navy Club Ship 60.
$25 adults; $10 youth (ages 6 to 15 - no swag). Children ages 5 and younger, free - no swag.

7th Annual Waterford Balloonfest

Come watch the magnificent and breathtaking views of hot air balloons floating in the summer skies of Waterford! Join the Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce on its journey of magic in the sky!

You'll find a host of activities, including tethered rides, pilot meet-and-greet, arts and crafts fair, music, pancake breakfast and much more! This is a family event you will not want to miss! Free admission. Festival lot parking: $10.

Saturday 6 a.m to 12 midnight. Balloons launch from 6 to 7:30 a.m. (weather permitting). Pancake breakfast, 6 to 11 a.m. Tethered balloon rides, 6 to 10 a.m. (weather permitting). All day - arts and crafts fair, inflatibles, food stands, games, kite flying, helicopter rides. Pilot meet-and-greet 1 to p.m. Fairy princess meet-and-greet 3 p.m. Famous racing sausages meet-and-greet, 5 p.m. Runzheimer Entertainment Stage, 12 to 8 p.m. Balloon launch 6:30 p.m. (weather permitting). Evening balloon 8:30 p.m. (weather permitting). Outdoor family movie Disney-Pixar's Up, 8:30 p.m. Barnes Road beer garden (ages 21+), 11 a.m. to 12 midnight. (Headliner act: Sam Llanas at 8:30 p.m.).

Salmon-a-Rama

The Big One is back! Lake Michigan's favorite fishing tournament runs from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, July 15 to 11 a.m. Sunday July 23. Tournament headquarters are at Pershing Park, 500 Pershing Drive, on Racine's lakefront. Stop by the tent every day to check on the leaderboards for the $20,000 grand prize.

Zoo-rriffic Saturdays

Celebrate the Racine Zoo's wonderful collection of animals at Zoo-riffic Saturdays. Each event has a theme tied to the zoo's animals, staff or wildlife education. The family will enjoy craft and snacktivity stations and games throughout the zoo grounds. Food specials at Max & Jenny's grill.
