RAM Spark! Program Gets $5K Donation From Evinrude

Spark! is a free arts program offering an immersive, stimulating, yet non-threatening experience to memory-impaired adults

RACINE, WI – Evinrude is donating $5,000 to the Racine Art Museum to help support the Racine Art Museum’s SPARK! Art Programs at their Downtown Racine and Wustum Museum campuses.

SPARK!, launched in 2010, is a free arts program offering an immersive, stimulating, yet non-threatening experience to memory-impaired adults and their caregivers.

Each experience provides a unique mix of engaging and focused activities through visual conversation, sensory stimulants, creative writing, music, the art of movement, and hands-on art making.

The Racine Art Museum is one of ten Midwest institutions originally chosen by Bader Philanthropies, Inc., Milwaukee to develop cultural programming for memory-impaired adults.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Racine Art Museum to support their SPARK! Art programs,” said Tracy Crocker, Vice President and General Manager, Evinrude in a prepared statement. “Throughout our history, Evinrude and our employees have made it a priority to invest in the communities in which we live. We believe it is important to stay connected with our neighbors by supporting programs like SPARK! that offer a unique and beneficial experience for some of our most valued residents.

Evinrude’s investment will help fund Racine Art Museum’s three SPARK! programs: ‘Art Conversations’ at the Downtown Racine Campus, ‘Art Activities and Creative Engagements’ at the Wustum Campus, and ‘SPARK! on the Road.’

Each program is tailored to the needs of the participants, for example ‘SPARK! on the Road’ was developed as a workaround for those who found transportation to be a challenge. SPARK! offers free monthly art activities and gallery engagement programs at both campuses.
