Remains Identified As Woman Who Went Missing on July 4

A Milwaukee woman who went missing on July 4 had her remains turn up in Racine County.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — The remains of a body that was found in western Racine County on Wednesday have been identified as those of Audrey Scott, a Milwaukee woman who went missing on July 4, 2017.

On August 30, the Racine County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into the discovery of human remains in the Town of Yorkville.

The remains were discovered near S. Sylvania Ave. just North of County Highway KR. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.

There are several persons of interest in custody and the investigation is ongoing. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s office conducted the autopsy.

According to a WISN report, Scott was last seen at McGillicuddy's bar, near Water Street and Juneau Avenue in downtown Milwaukee before she had gone missing.
