Repeat Drug Dealer Busted On North Side: Report

RACINE, WI -- Sheriff's officials in Racine County say they've arrested a repeat drug dealer on Racine's north side who has a long criminal record after the man's property was searched early Thursday.

On the morning of Sep. 6, agents conducted a search warrant in the 1200 block of North Wisconsin St. on a report that a 42-year-old Racine man was selling heroin and crack cocaine from out of his home.

According to the Racine County Sheriff, agents conducted several heroin purchases from the man, who was previously in prison for delivering drugs in Illinois. Sheriff's officials say the man also has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 1992 in Illinois that includes include drugs, weapons and assault charges.

Located during the search of the residence were: 11.6 grams of heroin with an approximate street value of $1,740.00, 56 grams of crack cocaine with an approximate street value $2,600.00, and 3.6 grams of cocaine with an approximate street value of $360.00. Officers also recovered two digital scales, packing materials, two Quest cards, a cell phone and U.S. currency totaling $2,406.00.

Sheriff's officials said there was also a 17-year-old pregnant woman living in the residence. The Racine County Human Services Department (HSD) was contacted under the Drug-Endangered Children protocol.

The 42-year-old Racine man was arrested and is currently being held in the Racine County jail, where he is awaiting formal charges. Sheriff's officials say the man is being held on suspicion of the following charges: possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of heroin with intent to deliver, repeat drug offender, keeper of a drug place, three counts of delivery of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and child neglect
