MOUNT PLESANT, WI -- Officials in Mount Pleasant are urging caution - especially around the West Ridge Elementary School area of Emmertsen Road during a repaving project that is expected to last until summer.

According to Mount Pleasant police, all vehicle traffic on Emmertsen Rd. located between Highway 20 and 16th St. is restricted to the northbound lanes only. Traffic on 16th St. is restricted to only the westbound lanes.

Authorities say the roads are being repaved, and that the project is expected to take two to three months to complete.

Police say that during this construction project, traffic entering the area — including visitors to Westridge Elementary School — must use the westbound access point at Highway 31 and S. 16th St. because southbound traffic on Emmertesen Rd. is completely restricted.
