RUSD Adds Several School Days To Calendar To Make Up Off Days
After record-cold and heavy snow closed school for several days, RUSD officials updated the 2018-19 calendar with make-up days.

RACINE COUNTY, WI -- After a week of snow and record-cold temperatures closed Racine Unified School District public schools for multiple days, it looks like the worst of it is finally behind us.
On Tuesday, district officials released an updated calendar, which showed the number of days that needed to be added in order to make up for all of the snow days.
According to district officials, here are the dates that have been added.

Friday, Feb. 15 is now a school day (all students grades 4K-12)
Monday, Feb. 18 is now a school day (all students grades 4K-12) It was previously a winter break day.

Thursday, March 7 is now a normal school day (all students grades 4K-12). It has previously been a parent-teacher conference day with no school. Each school will host evening hours for parent/teacher conferences.
Friday, March 8 is now a school day with a 2-hour early release for all RUSD Schools. It has previously been a parent-teacher conference day with no school. Each school will host evening hours for parent/teacher conferences.
With this schedule, the last day of school will still be Friday, June 7.
