S.C. Johnson To Trim Workforce By Up To 200, Invest In Robotics
Company officials broke the news to its entire workforce in Sturtevant on Tuesday afternoon, according to reports.

STURTEVANT, WI -- S.C. Johnson, a global manufacturer of cleaning and household products announced its going to invest up to $140 million in upgrading its Sturtevant facility while also offering voluntary retirement options to nearly a third of the plant's employees over the next few years.
According to a Journal Times report early Wednesday, the company held meetings with the Waxdale's 600 employees to break the news.
Company spokesperson Kelly Semrau told the Journal Times that the company is planning to cut between 150 to 200 people from the plant's workforce as they simultaneously invest in more robotics and automation.
