Saying Goodbye To Fine Arts In Photos
See photos of a goodbye ceremony as Fine Arts Elementary School prepares to move to a new school next year.
RACINE, WI — Fine Arts elemenatry school was founded in 1975 on the dream of providing a rich education in the arts to Racine students.
On Friday, May 11, 2018, parents, teachers, staff and friends from throughout the years gathered one last time in the 104-year-old building on Racine's south side to say goodbye to the structure that still houses their familiar school culture.
The building, modified and renovated over the years, is a relic of sorts - and the classes of the coming years will leave behind decades worth of murals and art projects that were created on its walls and will have to be left behind.

Fine Arts moves next year to the Gilmore School building across town. A more modern structure and much more spare in its appearance, this new venue will become the home to an expanded Fine Arts, that will also include middle school for the first time.
