TRAFFIC ALERT: Highway V Closes Monday for About 3 Weeks

You may want to allow a little extra drive time on Monday, detours have been announced for Monday's road closure.

MOUNT PLEASANT -- You may want to leave the house a little early on Monday, a road closure in Mount Pleasant begins Monday morning.

County officials announced that CTH “V” from STH “20” (Washington Avenue) to CTH “C” (Spring Street) will be completely closed beginning on Monday October 3, 2016.

The closure is expected to last three weeks, but the construction schedule is weather dependent.

Officials say the closure is needed since the utility project will be installing a large sanitary sewer pipe under CTH V.

County Highway “V” will be closed to all traffic at the construction site. A detour has been posted that directs traffic around the closed road. The detour has been posted for CTH “V” traffic to use STH “20”, CTH “H”, and CTH “C”. Motorists should schedule an
extra 10 minutes to drive the 4 mile detour route.
