Trump Tariffs Could Mean More Foxconn Production: Report
Tiawanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn says it may shift more production to the $10 billion plant currently under construction.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — As U.S. President Donald Trump considers slapping new tariffs on nearly $300 billion in Chinese goods, Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn says it may shift more production to the $10 billion plant currently under construction in Mount Pleasant.
It's been no secret that Foxconn has been pondering scaling back some of its liquid crystal display ambitions for their Wisconn Valley plant. According to a CDR report this week, production of servers, networking products and automotive central controls are all being considered for the Mount Pleasant plant.
Also in the report, one Foxconn executive said the company has enough capacity to make all Apple iPhones destined for U.S. markets in places other than China if needed. Whether that means additional iPhone production for Mount Pleasant has yet to be seen.
