Two Candidate Forums Will Be Held In July

A local political coalition is hosting forums for First District Congressional and U.S. Senate candidates in Racine this July. Details here:

RACINE, WI — As the Tuesday, Aug. 14 partisan primary draws closer on the calendar, a local coalition is hosting two candidate forums this July.

The Racine Political Education Coalition, a group of more than 25 local community organizations,
announces its second candidate forum in preparation for the primary election in August.

On Saturday, July 14, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the candidate forum will feature candidates for
Secretary of State and State Treasurer of Wisconsin.

The forum will be held at the Dr. John Bryant Community Center, 601 21st St., in Racine.
Candidates will answer questions prepared by the Racine Political Education Coalition forum committee, as well as questions submitted by the audience. This event is free and open to the public.

On Saturday, July 21, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the candidate forum will feature candidates
for the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives District 1.

The forum will be held at the Ascension All Saints Health Pavilion Auditorium, 3821 Spring St. Use the Health Pavilion entrance and take the elevator to the lower level. Candidates will answer questions prepared by the Racine Political Education Coalition forum committee, as well as questions submitted by the audience.

The forums are nonpartisan and both Republican and Democratic candidates have been invited to participate if they face primary challengers. Third-party candidates are not included as they are not facing
challengers in the primary.
