Unconscious Man Rescued From Burning Vehicle: Report
Police say the man's Honda Civic came to rest in the southwest ditch where it started on fire.

MOUNT PLEASANT, WI -- Police say that several people saved a 31-year-old Mt. Pleasant man's life, pulling him from a burning vehicle after a two-vehicle crash early Saturday in Racine County.
At about 7 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, police and fire responded to the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway V on a report of a two-vehicle accident in which there were multiple reported injuries and a car on fire.
When officers arrived, they learned that a 31-year-old Mt. Pleasant man was driving his Honda Civic west on Highway 20 when a 34-year-old Racine woman driving a Mitsubishi Outlander driving south on Highway V entered the intersection and struck the Outlander.

Police say the Civic came to rest in the southwest ditch where it started on fire. Several good Samaritans pulled the unconscious driver out of the burning car prior to officer arrival.
Police say the Mt. Pleasant man was transported to Froedert Hospital and is currently in critical condition. The driver of the Mitsubishi was transported to Ascension Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The Wisconsin State Patrol reconstruction team assisted in the reconstruction of the accident. Highway 20 was closed for approximately four hours.
