UTi Integrated Logistics to Close By January, Lay Off 200 Workers

The non-union employees located in Sturtevant are expected to be laid off, with their last day January 15.

STURTEVANT -- UTi Integrated Logistics in Sturtevant, Wis. announced it is shutting down, impacting approximately 200 workers.

According to a letter submitted to the state Department of Workforce Development, operations at 901 Renaissance Blvd. are scheduled to end in January 2017.

UTi configures, stores, and delivers goods with inventory management solutions and full supply chain visibility, according to their company website.

"We have been informed that the client will be continuing operations with a different 3PL provider and that 3PL provider will be offering employment to many of the employees, so we are hopeful that most of our employees will continue to perform the same or similar work that they have been performing for UTi Integrated Logistics," Julie House, Human Resource Manager said in the letter submitted to the Department of Workforce Development.
