Walmart Will Debut New Pickup Tower In Wisconsin

STURTEVANT, WI — Walmart is launching a new Pickup Tower in Wisconsin, starting with the Walmart in Sturtevant.

The company says the pickup tower, a 16-foot-high orange kiosk, functions like a vending machine and can fulfill a customer’s online order in less than a minute.

To use the tower, Walmart says customers simply choose from of items available on Walmart's website, and select the Pickup option at checkout.

When the item arrives at the local store, an employee loads it into the Pickup Tower and the customer retrieves by scanning a bar code sent to their smartphone.
