Watch As Inmate Bites Officers, Attacks Them With Pen: Report

According to video released by the Sheriff's office, several officers converged on Massie to restrain him.

RACINE, WI — According to a criminal complaint filed Wednesday in Racine County, two Racine County Jail Corrections Officers were holding Massie in a waiting room during a routine booking process following his arrest related to a possible disorderly conduct charge.

Authorities say officers were in the process of taking Massie's photograph when the incident occurred. According to the criminal complaint, Massie was given a pen to sign his name on a fingerprint card, when he took the pen from a corrections officer and began to swing it at the officer's head - hitting him several times during the confrontation.

According to video released by the Sheriff's office, several officers converged on Massie to restrain him, but not before Massie managed to bite one of the officers on the neck.

When questioned by investigators, Massie said that officers "were being mean to him, and telling him to sit down." Massie said he used the pen he was given in order to stab the corrections officer a total of five times.

Authorities said more than one officer was injured. Injuries to the Officers included puncture
wounds to the head, lacerations to the face and bites to the neck and hand. The Corrections Officers were taken to Ascension All Saints Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

As a result of this incident, Massie now being charged with aggravated battery, battery by prisoners, and disorderly conduct - all with the use of a dangerous weapon.

He's being held in the Racine County Jail on a $2,000 cash bond and is due next in court on Aug. 20 for his competency hearing.
