WEATHER ALERT: Extreme Heat Watch in Effect - Here's Where to Keep Cool

WISCONSIN -- The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch remains in effect from Thursday afternoon through Friday evening.

Though you may already know the heat is on, Patch.com has collected a list of area cooling centers to help you beat the heat.

First, the weather forecast:

* 12 noon cdt Thursday until 7 pm cdt Friday

* Daytime highs in the lower to mid 90s Thursday
And upper 80s to lower 90s Friday.

* Heat and humidity will make conditions feel warmer than actual temperatures. Maximum heat index values 100 to 110 Thursday...And 93 to 103 Friday.

* A heightened risk of heat-related illness is
Possible...Especially for those working outdoors or those
Without air conditioning. People on certain medications will
Be more susceptible to the heat...And should take extra
Precautions to remain cool.
