Weekend Talker: Is Jeremy a Vampire Now? Has Stefan Gone Dark? and Damon Lives!

The body count went up in Mystic Falls, but not as high as I expected. Of course, after a killing spree of people/creatures with "J" names - Jenna, Jules, John - the week before, maybe we shouldn't have expected too many more corpses.

What would have been completely unacceptable would have been Damon's death by any means, really, but a werewolf bite? No.

Okay, sure, he's a vampire and already technically dead, but this character has become the snark and much of the heart of this show. The cure for his werewolf bite being Klaus' blood, well, that sucked, given Klaus basically stole Stefan and seems to be turning him toward the dark side after skewering Elijah, again, and, seemingly for good.

And then we have Jeremy who, a year ago, drank his dead vampire girlfriend's blood and tried to kill himself by swallowing a bunch of pills. No dice so no vampire Jeremy. Now he wears the Gilbert ring to prevent death by supernatural means, but that doesn't help when the Sheriff shoots you in the heart with a regular human weapon. Bonnie channeled some super duper witch power (unnecessarily?) and brought him back, but ... is he Jeremy or Jeremy as vampire? That's the big question, especially since the last shot of the season was Jeremy seeing both of his dead (for real) vampire girlfriends. Yikes!
