Will We Have a 2011 NFL Season? Talks and Time Will Tell

Whether or not Mount Pleasant-Sturtevant Patchers watch Aaron Rodgers throw touchdown passes to Donald Driver or Clay Matthews lay a massive hit on the Bears' quarterback this season remains a question, but there has been progress between the owners and the players' association.

ESPN is reporting that the free agency obstacle has been cleared. Specifically, first-right-of-refusal clauses on 2011 free agents, which means four years of free agency with no restrictions. 

This is the first NFL lockout since 1987 and the preseason is supposed to start in about a month. Most teams would already be in training camp, but until a new collective bargaining agreement is in place, players can't take the field.
