Wisconsin Man Arrested for 10th Drunk Driving Offense

A 66-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for his 10th Drunk Driving offense only days after he was released from prison- on a previous OWI.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — A 66-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for his 10th Drunk Driving offense only days after he was released from prison- on a previous OWI charge.

Police in Caledonia, Wis. conducted a traffic stop on County Highway V and County Line Road Saturday evening just after 5:30 p.m. upon observation that the driver, David Broomfield, 66, of Milwaukee, was driving with license that had been revoked.

According to police, Broomfield stated to police that he had been drinking in the parking lot of the Pick 'n Save at the intersection of Four Mile Road and Highway 32.

Police reported that Broomfield was currently on parole for OWI and had been released from prison as recently as June 20.

He was cited for OWI-10th, and for operating a motor vehicle after revocation.

He was transported to the Racine County Jail where he is currently being held on a $5,000 cash bond, according to jail records.
