This Is Wisconsin's 'Best Pizza Joint' And You May Be Shocked

KENOSHA, WI — With places with generational cache like Zaffiro's in Milwaukee and Wells Brothers in Racine, Money Magazine's top pizza place in Wisconsin may raise a few eyebrows. Here is the premise. Money recently partnered with Yelp to find and list the "Best Pizza Joint in Every State." It's probably not a huge surprise that the best spot for pizza in Wisconsin is located in Kenosha.

But this year, a relative newcomer that opened in 2015 gets the honor for its New York-Style pizza. According to Money Magazine, Dolce Vita has the best pizza in Wisconsin.

According to a Kenosha News report, the menu offers standard Italian fare, such as strombolis and calzones, but also presents a number of other options, including wraps, appetizers and salads."

The pizza is New York-style, which means it's hand-tossed pizza cut into large slices and meant to be folded in half to eat.

Dolce Vita's owner Shpat Ramadani's dream restaurant is located at 7435 117th Avenue off Highway 50 just east of Interstate-94.

Dolce Vita serves lunch and dinner seven days a week.
