Wood-Burning Stove Blamed For Barn Fire: Report
According to Racine County Sheriff's officials, it was originally reported the elderly homeowner was in the barn.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — Investigators say an unattended wood-burning stove may be the cause of a barn fire that happened Monday afternoon in Racine County.
On Monday, April 2, just after 2:30 p.m., the Racine County Sheriff’s Office, along with multiple area fire agencies, responded to the 200 block of Downy Dr in the Town of Dover for a report of a barn fire.
According to Racine County Sheriff's officials, it was originally reported the elderly homeowner was in the barn, however he was later located safely outside by first responders.

The fire was extinguished in a relatively short amount of time and with no injuries to any persons or animals
in the area, and no damage to the nearby dwelling. It appears the fire may have been started by an unattended wood burning stove inside. The fire does not appear to be suspicious, according to investigators.
