A Successful Quest

Two experienced directors, a whole lot of kids, help the King solve his weighty problems.

The Little Red Truck from Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) broughtΒ their tour directors Sheila O'Hara and Sheryl Beth Silvers, props, costumes, and scenery to performing Arts Center to present King Arthur's Quest.

After just a weeks' time - from August 8 to opening on August 13 - and much hard work,Β a cast of children, little to big, enchanted the audience last Saturday.

MCT strives to use participation in the performing arts as a vehicle to develop life skills in youngsters. The thought is that kids are under such pressures to become adults that creative expression is one way they can role play safely and positively.

According to their website, "although MCT's programs tour to major metropolitan centers, MCT remains dedicated to providing financially accessible arts experiences to all communities, regardless of size or economic status."Β

The sponsorship of the Muskego Performing Arts Council, along with help from the high school's professional theater staff, parents, and volunteers, assisted the young actors in putting it all together.
