Therapy animals otherwise known at Creatures of Rehab from Acres of Hope and Aspirations will be at the Muskego Library today at 1:00 p.m. Come be part of this interactive presentation. The Creatures of Rehab are fur, feather and reptile friends that are adorable and loving but also are great cognitive and vocational teaching tools that helps people affected by brain injury rehab and recover.
A brain injury occurs every 19 seconds and changes, alters or takes a life. A brain injury can affect any age and any one. The only true cure is prevention. Protect your head in everything you do.
Come learn how these remarkable and talented Creatures of Rehab help in recovery through a very therapeutic and nurturing human and animal bond. Some of the Creatures of Rehab have disabilities themselves to help with acceptance of differences and disabilities. For example, the blind pony Queenie is led around the Gardens of Hope by her seeing-eyed guide, a pot bellied pig named Batman.
Donations are tax deductible for this tax exempt organization and are always needed to help care and feed the Creatures of Rehab. Volunteers are also needed and community service hours available. Find us on facebook or refer to our website at www.acresofhopeandaspirations.org.
